CtrlAltDestroy Posted February 4, 2004 Is it even possible? I've heard from just about everywhere that it just returns the stupid error message. It's like Err_Imp Timer or something. Am I doing something wrong, or is Doom95 just messed up like that? 0 Share this post Link to post
myk Posted February 4, 2004 Two possiblities. A) Record using a batch file or the command line from a shortcut, the Windows Run prompt, or something like that, using -record and related parameters. B) Use the tweaked/debugged doomlnch.dll that fixes the launcher issue. 0 Share this post Link to post
CtrlAltDestroy Posted February 6, 2004 I was going to post this in the other thread but it got locked somehow... Is there any auxiliary program/hack/whatever that will allow saving & reloading during a demo without making the character's move script all messed up? Or do I just have to get better at Doom? 0 Share this post Link to post
VinceDSS Posted March 4, 2004 saving/loading while recording a demo is called cheating :-) You find new .EXEs to do that at http://www.doomworld.com/sda/tas/ and also demos that comes with it :) 0 Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted March 4, 2004 It's only called cheating if you pretend you didn't use savegames, and claim it was an unassisted demo (AFAIK, there haven't been any such cases for several years). I'm not sure that the tools for TAS demos are on the new TAS site (I can't find them, anyway). They are described on the old TAS site, but the download links don't work. Some of these tools can be found here though. It's probably simpler just to try some standard demos, at least to start with. 0 Share this post Link to post
