The DTCA Demo - Come make some suggestions.

Recommended Posts

Ok, for anyone who has downloaded the DTCA Demo off of /newstuff this week, I have a request. I am hoping for a few people to sign up on the DTCA forums, so I can get a mod or two and to have some beta testers for futher map progress. I would also like people to sign of for these forums to suggest improvements and to report any bugs in my current demo and for any maps in the future. Anyone who wants to be a beta testing can go sign up and I can show you some of the maps I have been working on and I can get some suggestions.

The forums are here http://dtca.2webh.com just click the forums button on the main page.

Also I will be setting up an IRC channel hopefully sometime this week. If you prefer communicating like that I'll be sure to make a post about it when it is ready.

I thank anyone who will come sign up and hope they enjoy using both the Doomworld and DTCA forums, and of course those people that are signed up for others as well.

What, I'm new with administrating forums. Besides I would need someone to do a skin I can't draw or design graphics worth crap.

I still need 3 or 4 reliable beta testers for my future maps. I have good news though, I may be able to get another map done by the end of this week. It's March Break here so I have a whole week off and 5 mornings with no parents around to work on MAP21. I ask please for a couple of beta testers because I'm not sure if I am going to continue sending every map to /newstuff... I have to leave some surprises. I might send my older maps in after I spice them up a bit though.

Here's a tip: the water in the DTCA maps is too dark, particularly in map 32. I suggest adding 670000FF to the lower texture Transfer_Heights linedefs for water sectors and 6700FF00 to the sludge ones. (this is what I use and it makes the water a lot brighter)

Good idea, on MAP21 I'm using more subtle lighting, but if the water is in a relativly dark area it will be dark too. Just the way I do things I suppose. My next map's gonna be pretty good, I just hope my mind can cook up some good mappin.
