Weird...

I made it so wads would open with XWE. Why does it say "File access denied" when they open? It doesn't do anything.

Because XWE is "special", you cant "just" open files with it, you need to go through all these wierd processes, or just swear and bang the desk

I did the same thing so when I double click wads they'll open in xwe. It works for me, even though it still says file access denied.

Did you see all those user comments on the XWE homepage? You should have known what you are getting into when you decided to download it.

Jokes aside, what do you mean "I made it so wads would open with XWE"? If you simply run XWE at least once, it automatically registers a custom command to WAD files. You can right click any WAD file, and there will be a line like "Edit with XWE". It may help if you could describe what you actually did.
