Wavs to Mp3s

Recommended Posts

How do you do it? Is there good software to do it? Goldwave won't let me. I try to save a wav as an mp3 but it says "No codec availible to decode the audio format." What does that mean!?

Can ZDoom play .wma? If so, I have no worries.

No. As far as I know, the formats it can use are .wav, .mus, .mid, .flac, .ogg, and .mp3..
I may be wrong, as it can play .WMV files.

I was using windows media player. Supposably it can put stuff into mp3 but it saves it as wma... bastards.

Can't ZDooM handle MOD files as well? (.mod, .xm, .it, .s3m and so on)

Through scripting, you can make ZDoom jump to another track in the same song, thus without having to change to a different music lump (lame example: you pickup invulnerability sphere and the Sonic intromusic starts).

In the latest ZDoom versions, you should be able to just replace any mus lump with a mod/xm/s3m/it lump, see also here.

On topic, I used to use another program, but this CDex seems worth a try :)
