Need some advice

Along with my mom's new computer came WinME. I know that it comes with a new base for its OS and not DOS, but I'm still wanting to see if it'll work with my system.

Though I have almost no DOS programs, and the ones I do have I don't know why I have them, I'm still a little skiddish about putting it on. In terms of programs and such, here's what I mainly want to keep:

My DOOM games (Duh!)
Hexen and Hexen 2
Quake
Source ports (ZDoom mainly)
Aimster
WinAmp
WinZIP
Photoshop 5.0
PageMil 3.0
Acrobat Reader 5.0
Quicktime for Win
WinTex and WadAuthor
Visual Pinball
My Microsoft Office 2000 Programs
Musismatch (to rip MP3s)
AIM

...among some various other Windows programs.

I just need to know if the stuff I listed above will be compatable with ME. I'd like to know as soon as possible.

well lets see. is the winME disk a fullversion or a upgrade. if it is a fullversion u must format, so if u have a burner back it all up. also the first 3 will not work, if u use their original ports, those ARE dos based. if it is a upgrade then it should let u keep that shit. honestly if u have 98SE keep it

No, the first 3 are all Doom95, WinQuake, and Hexen for Win95.

yea i would just stick to 98, with XP coming out wait and see. honestly i hope microsoft does alot better with XP. more bug fixes and no new major ones added. If XP is better than what they have done before, meaning it is worth geting, i may get it.
