More Doom 3 multiplayer info (not limited to 4 players)

The fuck you talking about? We never had a confirmation before that it was more then 4 players, we just assumed, now we know. It was published yesterday, so it is new.

Tim Willits said years ago that they'll limit mp to 4 players, but since it's very easy to change he assumed the first mod to come out will be an 8 player modification.

If it's anything like in the alpha version, you just edit a line of text.

Way to be hostile. Actually Todd, or someone else at Id, in an interview confirmed that this was a design decision and would be able to be modded quite quickly. Same interview as the scrapping of peer-to-peer portion I believe, another thing everyone thinks is big news even though it's been known for like... at LEAST 6-8 months. Thinking more like a year.

It's been confirmed several times before that the limit for dm in Doom 3 is four players, but that it's by no means an engine limitation.

This article just tells us what several old interviews already told us months ago.
