I tried really hard to like Radiohead, so I could fit in with my friends. Turns out I was only hurting myself(and my preconceived notions of song structure, chord progression, tension and climax, etc.)

Fuck the genres, fuck the scenes, and only listen to music that you like. Some of the tracks in my own collection can be written off as "emo" by scenesters, but I like 'em anyway.
