Collector's Doom - sw1brcom not found

I have just installed my copy of Collector's Doom but after selecting "new game" on the launcher it fails with

I_error says

R_textureNumForName : SW1BRCOM not found


I cant find a reason for my problem ??

Try uninstalling it, and reinstalling.

Sounds like you are using the wrong iwad, or in this case, the iwad isn't found. Make sure the doom, doom2.wad etc are found in their proper directories or configure doom95 to locate the files (if possible)

Thanks to all those who replied.

I tried a de-install and re-install, but got the same problem.

I did check the launcher and noticed that "Heretic.wad" was still setup (a 'leftover' from the shareware days, I guess). I took this out and lo and behold, it all sprang to life.

Wait, you did a fresh uninstall/reinstall, and Heretic was in your directory?
