Three Questions

1. Can I run Doom 3 "nicely" on my system (i.e. all settings max, at least 800x600 resolution).

Heres my specs:

AMD Athelon XP 2100+
1 GB DDR-2700 RAM
Chaintech 7NJL1 / nForce 2 Motherboard
BFG-Tech Asylum GeForce 4 TI-4200 AGP / 128MB
Win XP Pro SP1
120 GB HDD


2. How many CD-ROMs will Doom 3 come in?

3. Will it have product activation which requires me to disable my firewall?

3. No clue, but if history has any thing to say, not likely, it will probably just be a CD-Key. I don't know though, as they have keept it under wraps pretty well.

I know, but it said the MX 400 and TI4600, nothing bout the TI4200.

you should still be alright, just a little below the one they tested with, so drop it down a little from the ti4600.

Also, the Geforce 4 MX series is really a glorified Geforce 2 core, maybe with some adjustments. its still a NV1x core though.

most likely medium quality on 800x600

though u can change any of those settings if u want- at the cost of machine performance.

3. if it does im sure you can configure the firewall to allow doom 3 to access the internet
