Someone with the game mind elaborating on this?

On various console-code lists, I've seen this: "give doom95", listed simply as it "starting the 95 version of Doom". This description's a bit, well, vague, but if someone can explain it fully, do tell. I'm guessing it starts Doom95? If so, including that's pretty awesome on id's part.

I think it starts that "Turky Whacker" game seen in screenshots elsewhere in this forum. It's not really Doom as in the actual game, but rather a sub-game using the old Doom engine (as far as I can see) in which presumably the aim is to explode turkeys which appear to gather a high score.

It appears that the game is activated when an arcade machine is used.

It doesn't appear to do anything special.

"give doom95" does the same thing as "give insertrandomcraphere" which is to say spews an error message about how the item isn't in the game.

Yeah, also note the graphical styling of the game title. It's done in the Street Fighter Alpha 3 format (great game, BTW).

Try typing "give PieceOfCrap", or "give RalphisHasNoPubes". It'll tell you that they dont exist but were added to your inventory anyway.

"Give Doom95" doesnt do anything. It's probably someone trying to pull some stupid hoax. Lots of peopel do this for popular games.
