Control + Alt + ~ = Console

See Title for subject: I spent forever and a day trying alt shift control and the ~ ,even editing the doomconfig file with quake commands and the doom alpha settings and nothing worked..Now today I saw this info posted on another board. Well. It's alway the last thing you try or think of I guess.

com_allowconsole 1

To make it open the console with only the ~ key instead of the annoying ctrl+alt+~ combo.

uhm, I looked at those cheats and this comes with *cough* Doom 95? {quote: give doom95 = Load the '95 version of Doom}

Nope. It was a rumor that has been debunked.

No doom95, unless they changed the command to get it at the very last second.
