HeXploiT Posted August 2, 2004 Did anyone like the original playstation Doom music? That music is awesome and creepy even today. I've always wondered who made it. 0 Share this post Link to post

HeXploiT Posted August 2, 2004 There was nothing like hearing those crying babies off in the distance as the sky burned. Thanks for that name. I've been looking for that for five years. 0 Share this post Link to post
Relica Religia Posted August 3, 2004 Dude, tons of people like the scores in PSX Doom, myself included. The D64 track was well-done, too. Same guy who did both. 0 Share this post Link to post

The Playstation Doom music was created by the very talented Aubrey Hodges, who also created the sound sfx for the playstation. And he also did a remix of DJ Skinhead's Extreme Terror, which later became the music for Club Doom (Level 59) btw, you can download mp3's of the music here: http://doomdepot.doom2.net/ 0 Share this post Link to post
DooMBoy Posted August 3, 2004 PSX Doom and Doom64 had some extremely moody music as I recall. Very kickass stuff. 0 Share this post Link to post
HeXploiT Posted August 3, 2004 Sweet. I wish i'd known about this place earlier. Just a few months back i went through the process of installing WinMe on my system just so i could make the psx emulator i have work so that i could sift through a dozen levels of the game and record the audio to mp3. It was a pain. Doing it that way you have to spend five minutes in every level you want an audio track from. The entire thing took up atleast half my day and i didn't even get them all before tiring of it and giving up. 0 Share this post Link to post

Some Doom64 tracks are remixes of PSX Doom tracks- Like D64-Watch Your Step music is a remix of PSX Doom music-Plant or Altar of Pain's music is a certain remix of the Mt. Erebus's infamous babies. There's nothing like the title screen tough-the way Doom Music meant to be, imo. 0 Share this post Link to post
