FPS Command for Doom3

Howdy. I was wondering if anyone knows how to display the framerate for doom3 in game. I've tried the one from Quake3 but it doesn't seem to work.

In the console type the following: com_showfps 1
Or bind it to toggle with a key like this (i use the p key): bind "p" "toggle com_showfps"

If you press ctrl-alt-squiggle thing in the upper left corner of your keyboard the console will drop down. I have no idea how to bind keys though.

Easiest way to access the console is to create a shortcut and add the command line +seta com_allowconsole 1

Ex : "C:\Doom 3\Doom3.exe" +seta com_allowconsole 1

This allows the console to be accessed by just ~ and using the command line makes it so you don't have to use the ctrl+alt+~ method to type com_allowconsole 1 every time.
