Boost Doom3 40% (info from ATI)

I just did it and got 5 more frames/sec in timedemo demo1. Schweet!

Fucking amazing. I went from 16.4fps to 33fps on my 9800. Just amazing.

This does however affect your MP and will not allow you to connect to pure servers once you've made the change. Best to backup the file you change so you can reinsert it for MP. Hopefully this will help till ATI gets out new drivers which from what I've read are looking promising.

Needless to say, heh. Not that I ever intend to play MP but it's just common sense to back it up. I guess you have to look out for those for whom common sense isn't so common.

I don't see why you'd need to unpack or modify your pk4 files. Just put it in the appropriate place and go.

where can I fin the info on this?

I snagged the file and plunked it in the right directory easily enough - but all the paramaters that were mentioned were nowhere to be found in the VFP file I had, before or after extraction.
