Raptor Posted August 11, 2004 After you have finshed your mod (all the folders, def, scripts, textures etc...) well after you have your folder and file structure ready, Open winRAR an select all the files you wish to zip up, when the window with compression options comes up, click Profiles and then chose ZIP, it will change the file into a ZIP, then change the compression amount to normal, then click ok and let it zip all the files, afterwards name your file "NAMEHERE.pk4" and place it in a folder outside your base folder then ingame you can click mod and click the name of the folder you put your mod in and your good to go, have fun people, and if it crashes on load it means you changed something incorrectly, and if the changes dont take effect ingame, your file structure was improper and you need to study how to correctly do it. Please stickey this and also stickey this in editing, i know it should help alot of others like me. 0 Share this post Link to post
Manc Posted August 11, 2004 Why does everyone keep saying WinRar? Any zip-capable program should be able to do this. It's just a matter of retaining dir structure, that's all. 0 Share this post Link to post
Raptor Posted August 11, 2004 Ive only been able to get it to work through doing that process. 0 Share this post Link to post
sandmanfvr Posted August 12, 2004 Actually if you have Win XP, you can open a exsiting ZIP file (without winzip or winrar) and just drag the folders and such in there and then rename the file. Done. 0 Share this post Link to post
