Story Time with Flex Galaxy

I remember when the first DooM came out, my dad bought it and gave it to me when i was 7. I became addicted to the game and I've been a DooMer ever since. Anyone else wanna share their story with how they encountered DooM? I want to see how you guys learned about the game.

Played the shareware at a friends. Liked it so much I bought Doom 2 and soon later Doom. Pretty much summed it up.

I played it at my friend's house, then I got the full version from a bargain bin and have been addicted ever since.

I picked up DooM2 when I was 4, eventually I got Registered Doom about the same time I was getting into DEU, when I was 6, then I got Final Doom and upgraded to Ultimate Doom when I was 9 or 10, made my first complete map around that time as well.
