SYS Posted October 3, 2004 I played this wad years ago which had a switch which activated a crushing ceiling. Of course when I went to take a looksee, the crushing ceiling was only activated for linedefs that you walk over. This was with vanilla Doom2.exe. So I'm guessing that perhaps it wasn't the switch but a linedef that you inevitably cross before pressing the switch. Any ideas? 0 Share this post Link to post
The Ultimate DooMer Posted October 3, 2004 The linedef in question is Ceiling S1: down to floor +8, and for some reason works as a crusher. (which is kinda neat, as you can start crushers with switches. You can't stop them, though) 0 Share this post Link to post

The Ultimate DooMer Posted October 4, 2004 Your first post sounded like you didn't know about that. 0 Share this post Link to post
SYS Posted October 4, 2004 I didn't. I knew that there had to have been a way to do it. I just wasn't sure as to how cause I thought it would've been under the obvious "Crushing ceiling" section as opposed to just the "ceiling" section. I meant, "yes I'm not insane", as a celebratory mark to myself, knowing that there had to have been a way to accomplish it. It's one of those things that in hindsight could be misinterperated easily. No worries. 0 Share this post Link to post
