1.1 problems: "Missing media files"

Since installing the 1.1 patch, I can't connect to Doom 3 multiplayer. I says something along the lines of:-

Missing media pak: 0x765... (for example)

I've tried removing any mods I've got installed but it makes no difference.

Anyone else had problems with the patch?

Sounds like one of your pk4 files has been altered. Try removing all mods and reinstalling. Or simply copy the pk4 files from the CDs and overwrite the existing ones.

Well like I say I've tried removing any mods, and I've also tried reinstalling (after reformatting). It just doesn't seem to like the 1.1 patch...

EDIT: I'm copying the pk4 files from the CD to the base folder now... see if this works...

If you're using Linux and connecting to a Win32 dedicated server then that server is missing 1 Linux-specific pak file.

Thanks guys, I've sorted the problem out now- one of the mods I had installed had the same name as one of the original pk4's, and thus overwrote it. Simple.
