Young Frankenstein
the Sci-fi channel version of Dune(the original sucked ASS)
Braveheart
Anything and everything Monty Python
The Matrix
The Fearless Hyena

I enjoy pretty much any decently made action movie...that's kind of why I'm leery of the whole Doom movie idea. I'm not sure that Hollywood has the brains to correctly imbue any film with the pit-drenching goodness that accompanied the first viewing of E1M1.

Never heard of it. Is it that bad?

Yes, horribly bad. The 10 minute-long nonstop footage taken from a car window in the beginning is enough to kill a man. The only good part is the horrible acting of the henchman character (I forget his name). He just twitches and speaks haltinly, while doing a little bandy-legged walk with music playing whenever he begins to move. Oh yeah, and his pants are stuffed with cloth or potatoes or something. I saw it on MST3K, and even then it almost gave me an anerysm(sp).

Are you sure?

Well the soundtrack absolutely rocks, but I found the plot hard to follow, and about halfway through I completely lost the movie. Seeminly it was a long porno/snuff film or something after that. Oh yeah, and if you look real close you can see Marylin Manson.

Of fucking COURSE it was hard to follow, what else would you expect from David Lynch? But that doesn't automatically make the movie bad.

Right on...I have friends who are already planning to camp out so they can see it. I really hope it doesn't suck. The whole thing with making Arwen a main character makes me a little suspicious, but now I'm sounding like one of those Star Wars puritans that hated Episode I because it was different. At least I'm sure it won't suck as much as Bakshi's animated version. Stupid animation-live action integration...

Different in a really bad way.

Different in a really bad way.

1. How so?
2. I thought it was good IMO. Episode 2, on the other hand, might not be very interesting. After all, it will mainly be a love story. But then again, there's gotta be a little bit of a love story in everything. Hell, just look at the second DOOM novel (even though it got in the way real bad).

YES! The Watcher! Keeanu Reeves had some seriously
