Doom builder with useless Y auto alignment

Recommended Posts

I hacked an Y auto alignment feature into Doom builder. Erik found it useful, so I figured maybe someone else will too. The recurse code is cut n' pasted from the X alignment feature, so if it misses a line, it's not my fault :). Don't use this unless you're sure it'll do what you want, it's very primitive.

I only included the changed source files in the .zip along with the .exe, I hope that's enough to satisfy the GPL and your curiosity.

Use with Doom builder 1.64.
Original 1.64 source.

HOORAY! I wish I noticed this earlier, since I just spent quite a while doing some alignments.

Heh, I'm probably the only Doom Builder user that only uses 3D mode to see if textures are aligned or not. I do everything in 2D mode.

heh, Erik doesn't use 3d mode for anything :P

I actually do all my texture alignment and texturing in it, mostly so I can be sure the scheme looks nice and use common textures in interesting ways.

Heh, adding it in 2d-mode just took some pointing and clicking in the autoalign dialog. If I was to add it in 3d-mode aswell I'd have to add a keybinding for it, and for that I'd have to edit config files and stuff. Way to much work for a simple hack :)
