Bloodshedder Posted November 9, 2004 Csabo has released a new version of his eXtendable Wad Editor after being somewhat dormant for awhile. Tons of stuff has been added and fixed in this version, and if you have any suggestions as far as bugs or new features, you're now welcome to speak your mind at the new XWE forum, part of the Doomworld forums. 0 Share this post Link to post
Amaster Posted November 9, 2004 It's about damn time! I kid of course. But im glad it's been updated, as it's my favorite wad editor. 0 Share this post Link to post
The Ultimate DooMer Posted November 9, 2004 Yeah, it's beginning to take over as the main off-map editor for me. And a decent headline, too... 0 Share this post Link to post
Udderdude Posted November 9, 2004 This is pretty good. ********ly some nice improvements. I'll be using XWE more often. But what's with all the 'XWE sucks' comments on the page? :P 0 Share this post Link to post
CodeImp Posted November 9, 2004 Looks like quotes, things that people said about XWE. Honestly, Id like to see if its good now, but I dont dare to run it having the experience that the previous version changed many of my file associations (yes i know it says its optional now, but if the programmer is the kind of 'lets have this change some system settings when a user runs it' then I fear any program he or she writes). 0 Share this post Link to post
lerner Posted November 10, 2004 neat, but I don't think I'll bother updating. 0 Share this post Link to post

TheDarkArchon Posted November 10, 2004 HELL YES!!! Now I have to spend less time working around the old XWE's bugs. Thank you, Csabo. 0 Share this post Link to post

gemini09 Posted November 11, 2004 I updated, and it works great. Thank you, Mr.Author! Although, I hate it that it adds XWE functions to the menu when you right click any file with your mouse. It's starting look messy there, and besides, I rather use "Open with ->" and then choose XWE anyway. A 'Save' and 'Cancel & Quit' option would've been nice as well, in case you screw something up, and want to close XWE down, without saving anything, and doing it over again. 2 thumbs up! 0 Share this post Link to post
