doomguys pistol

what type of pistol did doomguy use?

Looking at it, strangely reminds me of Beretta 92FS.

There probably was a particular pistol(s) that they may have took a couple styling cues from, but it's essentially generic.

Yeah, I don't think the pistol is any one pistol in particular.

It's gotta be a beretta M-92F. In ICD-SE more frames are added and it really does look like a beretta.

We've had this thread before. I started one of them like this...

He's using a futuristic pistol - I don't give a shit if it looks like gun blahblah or gun yadayada.

I have reason to believe that the gun in question is based largely on the Beretta M9/92FS. I am a very large gun info fanatic, so I ought to know.

And before anybody asks: the shotgun is a Remington 870, more or less.

The shotgun is actually based off a toy, the Dakota cap gun manufactured in america by Tootsietoy. I own one myself. After much careful inspection, it's most certainly the doom shotgun.

It was a comment on the dipshitwit post above mine.

It does look vaguely like a beretta m-92F, but it's hard to tell because it's a low resolution sprite. I'd say they probably took the beretta as the basic design though.

I wonder how they made the other weapons. They probably made some real-life models representing the guns in full-scale and just digitalized them.

Yup, I think too that Doomguy's pistol is Beretta M92F. Interest to read that someone has "named" the shotgun too. :D

Some people have tried to convince me that the Doom1-2 pistol is a revolver. They didn't succed though.

I still wanna know what the plasma rifle is.

And the Rocket Launcher.

Its all futuristic standard-issue Marine UAC gear. Except of course the Rocket Launcher, Plasma Gun, and BFG which I doubt are carried regularly.

It's based on a Sten obviously.

Strife's assault gun actually more closely resembles the British Sterling L2A3 series, but it's still not an exact match.

I don't see where it's even close.

It seems to resemble alot of those actually. Looks like they based it off mixes of guns from the whole series.
