DemilinX Posted December 15, 2004 The writing is painfully lacking but it is an informative piece. (I wouldn't pay money for it.) 0 Share this post Link to post
Mogul Posted December 15, 2004 It's got some errors in it, and some weird displays of ignorance from the author (like the part where it tries to explain that a telefrag is when player A teleports and player B is waiting for him at the other end of the teleport ready to blow him away... hahaha) -- But! It's a pretty interesting read, to be honest. You find out lots of details and little known facts. Really, if nothing else, it's a few hundred pages written about id, so you know it's going to have some good parts in it. I bought it in the summer of 2003 and have read it twice. I may read through it again now that DOOM 3 has come and gone, just to get that perspective again of what it was like when nobody knew anything about the game. :) 0 Share this post Link to post
