Masterposter395832 Posted January 7, 2005 My Ati x300 128 mb (in winxp box with Pengium 3.4 ghz, 1 gig ram) card can easily handle the high quality setting in Doom 3, but only at 640 x 420. If I switch to 800 x 600, even in medium quality, framerate drops by about a third, and heavy combat (the entire second half of the game) is impossibly slow. Anti-aliasing also drops the frame rate by another third, so I am left with beautiful textures and lighting, but jagged edges that make it all look like space invaders. Any ideas on how I can preserve the high quality graphics but up the resolution without hitting my framerate? 0 Share this post Link to post
Bloodshedder Posted January 7, 2005 You can't, really. The X300 is a budget low-end card; you should really trade it in for an X700/Geforce 6600 or better. 0 Share this post Link to post
