Is there an utility to replace textures?

Is there an utility that allow you to automaticaly replace textures with a texture of your choice?

In other words, something that can do this.

Replace: all startan1 with: mytexture1

And so on.

Not that I know of. Besides, What use would there be for such a utility?

Most editors let you do this as far as I know. In Doom Builder for example, just go to the 'Edit' menu and it's there - 'Find and Replace'.

From there, just change 'Search Type' to 'linedef texture' and type in what you want to replace.

Thanks a lot. This is because I want to retexture some DOOM 3 inspired maps I once made, to make them fit in the DOOM 2.5 mod.
