megawad idea!

i'm thinkin i could make a megawad on places in the USA. like newyork, and florida, and other places, who's with me?

Why not make one map demonstrating roughly what you have in mind? Then people will be able to decide whether they want to get involved in this newproject. You're unlikely to get any sort of positive response otherwise.

good idea, i talked to some guys in a zdaemon game, and they said i should try area 51 as my first level. anyone else have any ideas for places i could start out with?

believe it or not, i live in PA, philly might be a good starting level. i'll need some pictures of philly though

A list of places in the U.S.?

Some of the city levels would be repetetive.

Here are a few, with the parentheses being a place to specifically focus on in making the level (in most cases):

- L.A. (Hollywood)
- Yosemite (Half Dome)
- San Francsico (Golden Gate Bridge)
- Seattle (Space Needle)
- Mount Rushmore (That would kick ass)
- San Antonio (The Alamo)
- Grand Canyon (duh)
- Las Vegas (The Strip)
- New York City (Ground Zero, I guess...)
- Everglades (duh)
- Acadia National Park (it's a park of the coast of Maine. It's supposed to be really cool-looking)
- Philadelphia (just a random city-looking area)
- Detroit (same as above)
- Chicago (^^^^^^^)
- Mauna Kea (just a big volcano...)
- Alaska (The wilderness)
- Washington D.C. (everything from the Lincoln Memorial to the White House to the Capitol to the Pentagon to the Library of Congress to the Smithsonian)
- Colorado (mountainous)
- Wyoming (make the monster count like, four, symbolic of the population)

And stuff.

this is in duke nukem 3d, atomic edition i think. was quite fun i recall blowing holes in the Lincoln Memorial

Somehow making a wad about Washington DC in an era filled with paranoia for terrorism seems eerie...

I'll need some photos or something, so i can kind of detail the place correctly. and if i put in hollywood, i'd need some help with the hollywood letters

Depending on the port you use, you could use models to create the writing.
