um.
Could you emphasise what you mean here?
What editor? What textures did you try to apply? Anything custom?

im using doom builder hehe :p i thought it was assumed since im posting in its forum

i was trying to apply normal textures from the doom2.wad that i configered at start

it seems like it gave me an error everytime i tried to bring up the list of textures. no matter what i do, it starts the map off with invailed textures by default, that arnt in the normal iwad
so when i tried to change flats and textures it gave me this error in in 3d mode, but i was able to change the texures in 2d mode but not the flats

I have the same errors, but with Strife, Hexen and Heretic.

I have also found that by changing the unknown texture to '-' before opening the texture browser will prevent the crash.

So-- before you had " " as a name for your default textures? Sounds like we found the problem.

I tried making a wall with a "" middle texture and click on it in 3D Mode, but it showed me the texture browse without problems and perfectly allowed me to select a texture for the wall. Please provide more information or the map in question with instructions to reproduce the error.
