Sorry, David Crosby, Steven Stills, and Graham Nash are one group. Sometimes they are joined by Neil Young, from whom I got my first name from.

BTW, these concerts sound like they would suck. Too much pop.

How's this line-up sound?

- Foo Fighters
- Social Distortion
- Kasabian
- The Lovemakers
- Jimmy Eat World
- Sleater-Kinney
- Hot Hot Heat
- Alkaline Trio
- The Bravery
- Lyrics Born
- Ash
- Kaiser Chiefs
- Tegan & Sara
- Rise Against
- MXPX
- Dredg
- Senses Fail
- Every Move A Picture
- Jackson United
- Z-Trip
- Party Ben
- Disco Shawn

Heh.

Wow. Philly sure got the shaft on this one. DMB and Stevie Wonder might be entertaining, and the rest is just trash.

Sounds like you need to start throwing away all those mix tapes your skater friends push on you.

When did Elton John become a Sir?

" Elton John was made a knight December 31st at British Prime Minister Tony Blair's first New Year's Honors program. John's honorific had been anticipated for several months."

but poverty could be ended forever! (ok I doubt it but still, who knows)...

The whole point of the concerts is awareness, that's really it. It's not for charity specifically since it's free. Bob Geldof has been quoted as saying it's not "for charity, but social Justice".

Bob Geldof is trying to get a million people to come to Edinburgh for a concert/protest. It's the equivalent of sending 17 million people to London. I just don't think we'll be able to cope, we're only a small city.

Why would I go all the way out to any of those places when I can get full albums by ALL of those artists for free online?

The London lineup is the only one that's remotely decent. Too bad I'm going to be in the British Isles in early August, not early July.

That line-up is BFD 2005 at Shoreline in Oakland, CA. I'm not going, and I probably don't want to. If I did, it would only be for two or three bands.

Hmm...crap, crap, crap, and more crap. REM is probably the only band in that list I'd want to see. I had the chance to see them for like $10 a few years back but passed it up...heh. Also, why isn't David Crosby showing up? It's not like he does anything these days. And Die Toten Hosen? ROFL Heh, how come Europe gets all the remotely good bands and America just gets crap? It's the same with most of the bands I listen to. Apparently it really sucks to tour in America or something.

Heh.

Sounds like too much pop (LOLZ). Seriously, though, that's almost the exact same lineup that's at Endfest this year. I think that's either this weekend or the next.

And MXPX is the worst crap ever. They're the worst thing to ever originate from this town, and that's pretty sad considering how shitty and small this town is. I had to sit through a show of theirs once.

That's the stupidest thing I've heard all day. Seeing a band live is about 10x better than listening to their CD in your room. And my 100+ CD collection says your pathetic mp3 collection can kiss my ass.

Anyway, since people are making up dream music lineups, I'll make up one of my own:

- Skinny Puppy
- Legendary Pink Dots
- ohGr
- The Tear Garden (never actualy played live before)
- VNV Nation
- Assemblage 23
- Front Line Assembly
- KMFDM
- Psychic TV
- Wumpscut (just cause he's never done any live stuff either AFAIK)
- Type O Negative
- Das Ich
- Einstürzende Neubauten
- Gary Numan
- Pigface

Yeah, that would be nuts. That's just including bands that are still together and have all their members living. Otherwise I'd include Coil. :( Also, it's kind of industrial themed so no Cake or anything. TON and Numan are pushing it as it is. :P

ya know, I used to think that too. Until one too many "pop" concerts....

So true. I used to go to the big-assed over-priced gigs like Ozzfest and such. Thought they wee pretty awesome and stuff. Then I started getting into weird music where the bands get stuck into tiny clubs. Man, what a difference in venue. I just love being packed in those tiny dark clubs and being like 10 feet away from the bands you love. Made me more comfortable with moshing too. Never had the guts to go into those huge ass slug-fests full of methed-up numetalheads that they have at the likes of Lollapalooza.

My Lineup:
-Aerosmith
-Arlo Guthrie
-Billy Joel
-Bruce Springsteen
-David Bowie
-Earth Wind And Fire
-Elton John
-Eminem
-Foo Fighters
-Green Day
-Starship/Jefferson Airplane/Jefferson Starship
-Kiss
-Neil Young
-Queen
-The Rolling Stones
-Stevie Nicks
-The Sugarhill Gang
-Survivor
-Van Halen
-Weird Al

Probably also, if it were just for one or two songs, a bunch of various rap groups and reggae groups also (Cypress Hill, Marley, Shaggy, Outkast, some more also)

Also note, this list is timeless, I ignored whether the people were dead/retired etc
