cycloid Posted June 7, 2005 somewhere sometime i heard that no beatles song has ever been licensed for inclusion in a film soundtrack. Now obviously i don't mean their own films, Help etc. but is this true? what got me thinking was that i watched Ferris Bueller's Day Off the other night and that has "twist and shout" in it, which is a Beatles track but not composition... anyone? 0 Share this post Link to post

zombieribcage Posted June 7, 2005 does he really own all of them? i'd heard that it was just nearly all of them. 0 Share this post Link to post
Bucket Posted June 8, 2005 There have been plenty of Beatles covers featured in movies (I Am Sam being a good example), but none performed by the Beatles themselves as far as I know. 0 Share this post Link to post
Mogul Posted June 8, 2005 Yeah, that's true. Hey Jude is in The Toyal Tenenbaums, but it's not the Beatles playing it. I think that's how it goes. No wait, on the other hand, in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, isn't that the recording the Beatles put out for Twist and Shout? If it is, then indeed -- there they are in a movie. 0 Share this post Link to post
