Win98 not supported. Meh. Quote from FAQ:

Google Earth takes advantage of the 3D graphics capabilities standard on most PCs.

If it's using those standard 3d capabilities, why only 2000 or XP?

Yeah, I've had it for a week or so. I like going onto those integrated bulletin boards and looking at all the interesting things people find.

If you want to see a great example of what makes GE so unique and powerful, check out the Alaskan shoreline. The snow-covered mountains with nebulous inlets... well, the texturing and heightmap features work fantastically together.

I'd like to see them improve the "touring" feature so people can put in their own directions. It'd be awesome to check out a moving bird's eye view of, say, the Appalachian Trail or the Great Wall of China-- maybe even migration patterns of Monarch butterflies.

Hey, let's sell stuff that implies the user must buy Windows.

I let Jehar look for my house.

It was about.... 25 - 50 yards off, but accurate enough to be scary. I saw the top of my van O_o
