Mindless Rambler Posted August 16, 2005 Once agian, I annoyingly request help a third time! Any-hoo, I was wondering if it was possible to implement mp3's as custom music. Seeing as how Doom 64 TC used them I was just curious. Thanks for any enlightenment. 0 Share this post Link to post
Negatronica Posted August 16, 2005 You can use them as long as its a zdoom level. 0 Share this post Link to post
Mindless Rambler Posted August 16, 2005 Why only if its a ZDoom level? 0 Share this post Link to post
Bashe Posted August 16, 2005 Zdoom (and others, like JDoom I believe) are the only ports that have mp3 (and other) support. 0 Share this post Link to post
Macro11_1 Posted August 16, 2005 Legacy supports them, but dont use it right now... Because it takes an extra perameter that is bloddy irritating.., because most people dont know about it. Its going to be fixed in Legacy c++ version ^_^ 0 Share this post Link to post
Mindless Rambler Posted August 23, 2005 how would I go about implementing mp3s into JDoom, and then other ports? 0 Share this post Link to post
EarthQuake Posted August 23, 2005 If you're asking how to insert them into your ZDoom or JDoom wads, then all you have to do is use XWE and rename it to d_runnin, d_stalks, or whichever name corresponds to the level whose music you are replacing. Should play just fine. 0 Share this post Link to post

Mindless Rambler Posted August 27, 2005 Hmmm, says it uses FMOD. I disabled that a long time ago when I had my Segmentation Violation problem... maybe I should re-enable it. Thanks Dani 0 Share this post Link to post
