Doom1 remakes of Doom2 levels?

Tell me are there such levels? Because I can perfectly imagine levels such as O of Destruction and The Refueling Base, but with different backgrounds, a few missing textures, and missing Doom2 only enemies. Not that I would mind; I am merely curious.

Really, I don't see any reason why anyone would do anything as stupid as that.

Unless they want to give it to their friends who don't have Doom 2, but just Doom. But then again more likely they'd just copy the whole damn game anyway...

people have made level conversions from Doom 2 to Doom, just as they have done for Quake etc.
But he's right, there's little point as Doom 2 levels were designed to make use of teh DOom 2mosters and not be limited to thaose of teh original game.
