can i make textures and sprites with like 'Paint'? if so how do i upload them to my wad?

Sure, if you're skilled enough, you can make sprites/textures with just about any image editor, including Paint.

Once you've created your stuff, just do an Entry|Load in XWE. Or simply double click the section you want to import to in the bottom toolbar (e.g. Double-click sprites to import your sprites).
