Spiked Posted August 4, 2005 Luke 'Spike' Cama here after a VERY lengthy break away from the Doom community. I'm looking to start a new wad making team, initially starting with a deathmatch compilation, aiming for 10-20 levels. I will need at least one decent artist and 2-4 skilled level designers. If you wish to see my own/Team Onslaught's work then please try out: 'Exectution' http://www.gamers.org/pub/idgames/levels/doom2/deathmatch/d-f/exec.zip 'Decamatch' http://www.gamers.org/pub/idgames/levels/doom2/deathmatch/d-f/deca.zip 'Decamatch II' http://www.gamers.org/pub/idgames/levels/doom2/deathmatch/d-f/deca2.zip If you are interested, please email me at therod@ntlworld.com with some examples of your work. Please do not attatch anything other than screenshots and URL's to your wads. I guess if no one's interested in contributing then this will turn out to be my first solo project. Here are some VERY early screenshots to show that there is currently work in progress. Obviously I havn't changed the default brick texture nor alligned most walls while I've been working on things so far... plus I'm crap at taking decent screenshots... I have released a beta of the first level for public testing. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/curtis.c/ons1096.zip The screenshots below are new as of 16/10/05 0 Share this post Link to post
Johnny Posted August 4, 2005 Execution was spectacular. I'm glad you're looking to make a new team. 0 Share this post Link to post
gemini09 Posted September 27, 2005 Good to see ya! I played Decamatch map01 a couple times or a couple hundred. Classic. I'd definitely like to participate, hopefully I will have the opportunity as well. Sign me up, yeah. 0 Share this post Link to post
Spiked Posted September 27, 2005 I think we remade that level a hundred times before the final version you see in the Decamatch. Vince/VKiller remade it again (twice!) in Execution too. 0 Share this post Link to post
Submerge Posted September 29, 2005 This is one of those things that makes me curse the fact that I'm already busy on maps for Skulltag .97b..... Don't get me wrong! I'm honored and happy to be making maps for Carn! This just happens to look awesome too. And after that there is Apothem's T7DM.... Then CacoDemon Hunter..... -_- Then SUBDM3...... Heehee. well, that's all stuff you'll love too when it comes out. Best of luck on your project, Spike! 0 Share this post Link to post
Spiked Posted September 29, 2005 Didn't realise work was still going on with Skulltag. Any screenshot links to those projects you've mentioned? Oh, also I wouldn't mind having some webspace for news/screenshots on the project. Do Doomworld still host? 0 Share this post Link to post
Stealthy Ivan Posted September 29, 2005 So far so good! I will give it a try when its finished. 0 Share this post Link to post
Submerge Posted September 29, 2005 You know, those screenies remind me strongly of an unfinished map I have in my Doom folder... I called it 'Gae Bolga' and it was a castle/goth sorta map... Now you're tempting me to finish it. 0 Share this post Link to post

I just posted a preview of 97b here: http://www.skulltag.com/ Check it out! :D This looks sweet, BTW! 0 Share this post Link to post
Spiked Posted September 30, 2005 Looks pretty good. Like the details in the structures. 0 Share this post Link to post
Spiked Posted October 3, 2005 Well looks like progress is halted for now. I've hit the linedef limit on my shareware version of Deep after I lost my registered copy years ago. Trying to contact sbsoftware to buy and be emailed a new copy, but they never answer their emails :/ 0 Share this post Link to post
kristus Posted October 3, 2005 Two words comes to mind. "Builder" and "Doom" 0 Share this post Link to post
kristus Posted October 3, 2005 That's because you haven't tried Doombuilder long enough yet. :p 0 Share this post Link to post
Spiked Posted October 3, 2005 :p Aaanyway. God damnit, I actually want to buy a piece of software for once! 0 Share this post Link to post
kristus Posted October 3, 2005 Well, Deep is still being produced and still cost money. So I am sure there should be no problem doing it. 0 Share this post Link to post
Spiked Posted October 3, 2005 Contacted them over a week ago and again today, no reply. Obviously I'm not paying $6 shipping for something 1mb big. They're blatently on holiday or something. Oh well, maybe I'll leave the doom community again :D 0 Share this post Link to post
Spiked Posted October 7, 2005 Hurrah, finally got in contact and got myself a registered version of Deep. Have a look at the first post to see some new screenshots. 0 Share this post Link to post

Spiked Posted October 13, 2005 Right, first map done. I need 3 or more beta testers to play it online. Any takers? 0 Share this post Link to post
