HAaaaaaaaalp ATI 9250

I ahve a Pentium 4 2.8 gigz processor
512 mb ram
And an ATI 9250 256mb Card

I know its not the greatest card, but I set EVERYTHING to low and it still lags.
I played fear on medium settings and it was fine. I think it was because it let me use Directx 8 shaders instead of 9 since my card doesnt support 9. Is there anyway I can use direct x8 settings on doom 3? Cuz I know I more than meet the minimum requirements.

Doom 3 massively favours NVidia cards to ATI.

You don't meet the minimum requirements because DOOM 3 requires a DX9 card to run properly.

Your processor can be the best in the world, but DOOM3 relies on the performance of your video card above everything else. My advice to you is upgrade. The Geforce 6800's are coming down in price since the release of the 7800 series, and the 6600GT has always been a rock solid card at a bargain bin price.
