SyntherAugustus Posted October 30, 2005 I came across some ut2004 skyboxes made by Hazel H. and I decided to experiment with them and then I made clones of these skyboxes to GZdoom! Now here we have 12 6 sided skyboxes that look great ingame. GZdoom and ZDoomGL link if somebody can give me the link for the latest version. :) Original Thread by Hazel H. and Previews The Skyboxes for GZdoom/Zdoomgl PNG Versions of the Skyboxes Screenshots of one of the Skyboxes For those wondering what the difference between 6 sided and single texture skys look like.. Normal: Look all the way up or down in a gl port and you'll see a "void". 6 Sided: Look all the way up or down in a gl port and you'll actually see a texture. 0 Share this post Link to post
ruffj05 Posted October 30, 2005 those are amazing. damn i am so confused though. im downloading as we speak, but just a question. i heard gzdoom is basically just zdoomgl with "3d floors". what are 3d floors? i dont see any difference as i play. am i supposed to use a pwad that supports it or something? 0 Share this post Link to post
zap610 Posted October 30, 2005 3D floors are floors that you are able to go over and under. 0 Share this post Link to post
leileilol Posted October 30, 2005 6-sided skyboxes? That's not quite a skybox now is it? Unreal engines always used skyrooms, and the rooms would be a subtracted cylinder with a texture mapped across it 0 Share this post Link to post
