Bucket Posted November 5, 2005 Today is the 50th anniversary of the invention of the flux capacitor. 0 Share this post Link to post
Kenny McCormick Posted November 5, 2005 Gigawatt Watt = A unit of measure for work, that is, measured at the rate of one joule per second. Kilowatt = 1,000 watts Megawatt = 1,000 kilowatts Gigawatt = 1,000 megawatt Sooo.... 1 GW = 1,000,000,000 W 0 Share this post Link to post
Bank Posted November 5, 2005 I wonder what kind of cake you give a flux capacitor? 0 Share this post Link to post

Don't you get gold for 50? I suppose Mr. Fusion would like that... 0 Share this post Link to post
spank Posted November 5, 2005 As a kid I once got a 1/18 RC DeLorean for Christmas. You could recharge its batteries by plugging the flux capacitor to a power outlet. Great fun! 0 Share this post Link to post
Lobo Posted November 5, 2005 Poor DeLorean... They shouldn't have f*cked with the Sidhe. 0 Share this post Link to post

fodders Posted November 6, 2005 http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/story/0,3605,1627424,00.htmlFuel's paradise? Power source that turns physics on its head · Scientist says device disproves quantum theory · Opponents claim idea is result of wrong maths It seems too good to be true: a new source of near-limitless power that costs virtually nothing, uses tiny amounts of water as its fuel and produces next to no waste. If that does not sound radical enough, how about this: the principle behind the source turns modern physics on its head. 0 Share this post Link to post
TheDarkArchon Posted November 6, 2005 Maybe this is happening because any sub-shells in the 1st energy shell have been previously ignored/unatainable. In atoms, the energy differences in a shell is great enough to the extent where the highest energy electrons in the third shell have more energy than the lowest energy ones in the fourth shell. (See the transistion metals for this. Generally, the third shells electrons are increasing with number with the first two fourth level electrons already being filled) 0 Share this post Link to post
