Ebon Posted May 27, 2006 Do they happen often in the homebrew level scene? Are they only a DOOM(1).WAD inherited aspect? Wouldn't it be cool to store the whole, say, 15 level evolution into an "installation" screen with graphic evolutions ala Tower of Babel? So are intermission maps being enabled as a lump in maps? 0 Share this post Link to post
Scientist Posted May 27, 2006 I think he's refering to an image such as: http://battleteam.net/tech/fis/docs/images/doom_map_you_are_here.png I must say I don't remember ever seeing a custom version of it. Most custom wads are made for Doom2 and maybe it's not possible to use such an image in Doom2. Maybe it's something typically Doom(1) 0 Share this post Link to post

Ebon Posted May 28, 2006 "You are here" maps wouldn't be bad idea for zDoom hubs. 0 Share this post Link to post
XDelusion Posted May 28, 2006 I am hoping to do something like this with the Star Wars project. 0 Share this post Link to post
Craigs Posted May 29, 2006 Ebon said:"You are here" maps wouldn't be bad idea for zDoom hubs. It could probably be done. When the player left an area on Tei Tenga, it would change the camera to a small box with something like a space ship flying through space or something and say "Now leaving so and so". You could probably do something like that, only with a texture of a map, and another of an arrow. 0 Share this post Link to post
