do you ever wake up in the morning and stumble to your computer to check out what' been going on in doomworld and you see a thread that you think "hey, i wanna post something on that" but then you see that its allready 2 pages long and you dont wanna take the time to read through it all to see if what your gonna say has allready been said? if so, welcome to my life.

but seriously, do you ever not reply to a thread just because its allready gone too far without you? how big is too big to reply to?

Yea, same here. Not only on this forum tho, also other forums I visit. Unless the topic is something important to me, I just leave it alone if it has gone too far already.

Ususally I'm on here enough to not have that much happen when I'm not here. But what I hate is after I go on vacation for a few weeks or other such things keep me away for that long, I come back and every single fucking post is new and I don't even know where to start.

Thats why I took a 6-month sabaatical. There was a 6.8 earthquake, my birthday, and my birthday party within a 3 day period, so I got a little distracted. I came back about a week later to discover that there were about 30 new threads, so I just said 'fuck it' and left. I came back because I missed the place...or because I was paid. I mean...d'oh.

If I'm gone for say, overnight, then I'll go back to the oldest post after I left, and start there and work my way up. But if I'm gone for a real long time, I usually will just do about half of the first page.

Well, a few months back, Ling put up a thread on...../me tries to remember, but fails....I don't remember what, anyway, it was 15 pages long and I don't believe I posted on that particular thread at all, because of its longevity.
