JonBenet murder allegedly solved

Recommended Posts

The guy certainly looks the part, but who knows? Maybe he's just some loon looking for is 15 minutes. I saw on CNN last night that he had "insider information" that, apparently, only police knew. Whatever, not like I care. Next fabricated media frenzy, please...

yeah sure.

OMG I will plead guilty to this crime and tell them I am a pervert and then I will be on tv for 5 minutes after which they throw me in a cell where I will be raped and castrated with a spoon by the other prisoners. YAY

Hey, I'm not saying he's guilty/not guilty. (Then again they did pick him up in Thailand, the place to be if you're into having sex with children.) Stranger things have happened, though.

It always sounded more like a child prostitution thing to me, but otherwise this lines up with the case pretty well. I'd believe it.

He had just started work as a teacher, some kids have had a lucky escape.

Atleast you're not a teacher.

People confess to crimes they didn't commit all the time, for all kinds of reasons.

Bah, I couldn't be more uninterested. If he's the guy, then good for them. If he's not, then its just another case of the 15-minutes fame disease and he'll still go to jail for interfering with a police investigation.

Now that this case seems to be solved, let's try solving the next case involving a dead white girl.

...Or that Natalie Hallaway case.

good lord how I hate that case now. It's died down around Alabama, thank god.

I think it may be bullshit. he said he drugged her, but there were no drugs found in her during autopsy. he also supposedly obessively researched the case and wrote a some kinda paper on it. dunno about this.

My take on this is that he's just a really creepy guy who wanted some exposure. He was charged for possession of child pornography in 2001. He also said the death was an "accident" and that he "loved" Jon Benet, but that doesn't match up with how she was killed. He's definitely a pedo obsessed with the case either way, perhaps he had a fantasy that became real in his mind?

I'm cautiously optimistic about this. He seems to fit the type of personality who would commit a crime like this, but something about the whole thing doesn't gel. My gut's telling me this is gonna be a case of some loser looking for his 15 minutes like the others have said. He is obviously obssessed with JonBenet, and knows that by "confessing" he will be forever tied with the memory of her, much like assassin personalities who kill famous people.

My main reason for concern is the ransom note. I read that and the writer just "feels" young, even younger than this guy would have been at the time. Having said that, in spite of it's idiosyncracies it is well written in it's own twisted way, like what you might expect of a teacher. And if this guy is falling in love with a six year old girl it's safe to say his emotional growth is stunted. Ie: his words would give the impression of someone younger.

Hopefully some solid physical evidence or strong circumstantial evidence convicts them, as this guy seems too out of touch to be considered a credible witness, even for confessing to his own guilt. He claims the death was accidental - and yet the cause of death was the garotting, a very deliberate action. The blow to the head was secondary, her heart would have been beating faintly if at all, that's why there was no blood evidence found. Then there's the evidence of the tazer, a sure fire sign that whoever took her intended to take her away but something changed. That supports his "love" angle; that maybe he took her but then maybe she began to struggle and realised it wasn't going to work. The crime has both organised and disorganised elements, signs of both criminal inexperience and intelligence.

I'm cautiously optimistic, but I won't be surprised if this turns bad.

This guy just wants to get out of Thai Prison (maybe not free, but free-er than he was.)

Parents did it.

Bullshit. There isn't a shred of evidence against them. Physically and psychologically it just does not add up. People who claim this are only showing their complete lack of understanding of not only the case but the psychology of murder on the whole.

1. John discovered the body, considerable time after they claimed her missing. When someone kills a member of their family and keeps the body in the house, they usually set up someone else to find it and as soon as possible; insisting someone check a certain area. Eg: Lizzie Borden setting people up to find Abbie Borden's body upstairs.

2. There is clear evidence a tazer was used on JonBennet. No logical scenario involving the parents fits this. Part of the setup you say, like the note? Please. No one is together enough to accidentally or deliberately kill their daughter, then sit there and write the note and hit the corpse of their child with the tazer to complete the package. It just doesn't make sense.

3. This is no evidence whatsoever of abuse in the background of either parent. You don't just suddenly garrote and then bludgeon your child.

4. She was garroted first, then finished off with the blow to the head as I mentioned. Were this the other way around, some kind of scenario involving the parents might be plausible; that the kill was spontaneous/accidental and the setup followed later. But head wounds bleed like mother fuckers, and there was no blood evidence found. This means that her heart was beating faintly, if at all, when the wound was inflicted.

These are the four main points I can think of off the top of my head, but I'm sure if I referenced a book I have I could list more. Solid physical and behavioural evidence clearly states the parents are innocent. The only "evidence" that says they are guilty are hearsay and bullshit theories made by people with no concept of what they speak or insufficient knowledge of the facts.

You mean a dingo ate 'er baby? Well that's just loverly...methinks it coulda been a poteroo.

I'm still leaning towards the parents and they just got lucky that some psycho took the spotlight off them for awhile. But I wouldn't spit in John Ramsey's face if I saw him in the street. O.J. on the other hand...:P

You know, this reminds me of that guy who tried to kill Regan because he thought it would get him a date with Jodie Foster

How does this murdered child remind you of a specific attempted assasination of a president?

Well, it just did. My brain somehow connected the idea of the murderer being fake and trying to get his 15 minutes to the idea of a guy who attempted a murder because he thought it would get him a date.

I dunno, it just popped up is all I know
