peach freak Posted October 25, 2006 Now, I know that to align sectors properly, you need to align them on the grid. But with lines, all you need to do is make sure the width and height of the texture are the same as the linedef sizes for it to display correctly. When I was re-texturing one of my maps, I added the LITE5 texture to two of my lines. Both lines are 16 units long, so the LITE5 texture would fit. But one displayed properly, while the other one looked goofy. They share the same sector and I did check for errors. There are no closed sectors, missing textures, etc. Here are two screenshots of what I'l talking about. http://img117.imageshack.us/img117/3666/erroralignqr3.jpg http://img289.imageshack.us/img289/1331/3dmodewa6.jpg The misaligned texture is to the right. Anyone know how to fix this? What would I do in Doom Builder? Thanks. 0 Share this post Link to post
Use Posted October 25, 2006 Check that the misaligned lite5 doesn't have an x-offset applied to it. 0 Share this post Link to post
Da Spadger Posted October 25, 2006 In order to reset a linedefs xy offset (While in 3d mode), aim at it and press A. Works way faster than using the arrow keys. 0 Share this post Link to post
peach freak Posted October 27, 2006 Pressing A didn't do anything, but I made the offeset to (0,0) using the arrow keys. Wow, I never knew about that trick before. Thanks a bunch guys. 0 Share this post Link to post
Ichor Posted October 27, 2006 An easier way to reset the alignment to (0,0) in 3D is to point to the wall and press Esc. 0 Share this post Link to post
