Out of the loop for a while

I have Doom, Doom II, Hexen, and Heretic that I loved to play on my old 486-33. I sold that computer about 3 years ago and have gone without until this Christmas. Santa was REALLY good to me and my question is how the heck do you play these good old games on Windows XP? Is it even possible? I see that Id has Win95Doom to download on their website. Does it work? If so is it easy and has anyone used it with XP?

ok people get it through your thick ass skulls, THERE is NO!!! DOS IN windowsME windows2000, or windowsXP. i repeat they have NO, meaning none at all, DOS. DOS was done away with! what, what did you say? oh you say it has a shortcut to MS-DOS prompt. Well no, that is not DOS, more like an emulation or very very very lite DOS. So if u have those operating systems you MUST get a doom port. DOS games usally only work in DOS
