Go see 'The Fountain'

This film is goddamn brilliant. Extremely emotional and thought-provoking. Darren Aronofsky scores again. Definitely a 'buy on DVD and watch multiple times' movie. Has anyone else here seen it?

I wasn't planning on it, since Requiem was one of the most passable movies I'd seen that year and not much later I blacklisted Aronofsky after forcing myself through Pi, then got a reminder of why I didn't like anything he was remotely involved with when I saw his name in the closing credits for Below.

But enough people I know are saying it's good, and the plot info I dug up from imdb sounded interesting, so maybe.

Yeah, I need to see this. This and Casino Royale are the two movies out right now that I need to watch.

Aw, I fuckin' loved that movie :O Requiem was neat because it was so different, but Pi bored the hell outta me. This one sounds intriguing plot-wise, can't wait to catch it :)

Haven't even heard of it. What's the basic jist?

Depends. There are actually two different ways to interpret this film. One is kind of existential and symbolic, while the other is biblical and epic. I prefer the latter, as I think it suits the presentation and atmosphere.
