Walmart selling yaoi

Well it's about time they started.

I'm wondering if people realize what can be inside manga. They probably just think they're like ordinary American comics, only made by the Japanese, and don't mind their children having it. I don't suppose they realize they can deal with sexual themes, nudity, violence and other topics that might be taboo. That's the only justification I can come up with for why some manga is not kept in plastic shrink wrap with clear warning labels.

Then again, a good deal of manga is censored for domestic release.

They refuse to sell GTA: San Andreas, but they have yaoi mangas available. How odd...

I'd like to remember you that this kind of material is already available for free in the internet. Also you need a credit card to buy this. And asuming it's in the store, and an 11 year old kid have the guts to actually buy it, it's relatively soft material, nothing that can turn him into a pervert (unless he already was going to be one buying it or not). Most probably the kid bought it more for curiosity and for the challange of doing it, wich isn't a bad thing for his sexual development (remember than if he wants he already can have similar material for free right in his house).

I cant stand walmart. i feel like i need to wear a bullet proof vest everytime i go there. crazy mix of people i have ever seen in my life, crowded pushy and rude. was once behind a lady in line that had a 1970-ish garter belt tattoo that had long "turned" and was now this hard-ass biker green and what also looked like a survived gunshot wound to her back just over a kidney -no thanks. the only thing i ever really saved on in there was like three cents on a game (think it was RoE) instead of 19.99 it was 19.96 or something. i would rather go to target..

I really don't care about small businesses if I can get something 10 dollars less at Walmart. That's probably where I'm going if they sell the same product.

Some kid downloaded the edited version of a song from their first album off of Wal-Mart's website, and her mom said it was alright to buy the album itself. However, upon discovering the supposedly lude unedited lyrics, the mother wasn't happy. Some Christian anti-Wal-Mart campaign ensued, and Wal-Mart America stopped stocking that album, apparently. I'm in Canada; I don't know if that lasted.

I fly off the handle when Christians get all hot and bothered over a couple foul words or descriptive graphic lyrics, this is a free-fucking-country no one gives a shit about what our kids can and cannot see anymore EXCEPT YOU GUYS!

Just turn a blind eye to it if it offends you, don't cause a scene that serves absolutely no purpose except for the fact that you want to be on T.V. say "I thank god for this day that we finally can get rid of this filth from our stores. I also thank Jesus for helping me put this together". All I can say is: THEY/HE DID NOTHING TO HELP YOU BECAUSE HOW DO YOU EVEN KNOW THAT HE EXISTS? YOU DON'T. Back to the topic: anything should be allowed to sell at anyplace regardless of it's content. If you don't want to have gay midget porn, then just avoid it. If you don't want a CD that contains explicit language, and graphic lyrics, then just ignore it. EVERYTHING HAS A LABEL FOR A REASON, READ IT AND THEN FIND OUT WHAT IT CONTAINS. CDs usually have an "Explicit Lyrics" thing on the cover, which should tell "oh it has curse words, I shouldn't buy it" not "Oh hey look this CD has a nice cover, I should buy even though I hope it doesn't contain curse words".

AND ANOTHER THING. I was playing City of Heroes the other day and these people were getting on this one guys case for cussing the "broadcast" chat. The people who were against him argument was "They are kids playing". I was on his side and I said "There is a profanity-filter for a reason and it defaults to on. You turn it off, you accept that fact that people actually cuss in games."

AHH WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO?!?!?

I'm so annoyed right now, not because of this post, but because of the state of things in general. I wish I could say more, but this post would be way way way longer than it already is. I could write a novel of rants.

OK, this comment got me a little angry. Let me ask you: do you consider yourself to be ignorant? Of course you don't. But you're lying to yourself. For every theory that NASA, Darwin, or whoever else comes up with, a million more questions will pop up. I personally find it rather amazing (almost like a... miracle?) that a (healthy) person's biological processes are precisely in tune with his molecular needs. Now, when your atheistic theories are down-pat and can answer every question in the entire universe, then you can immediately dismiss the idea of God the second it's suggested. Until then, you will be blind and ignorant and stupid. You will have a peg face.

I personally believe that the theories of the Big Bang and Natural Selection deserve some credibility. But I don't think that they're all that's going on.



And what is this crap about Evanescence? I've yet to find any offensive lyrics in any of their CDs.

I'm saying I believe in anything right now. What I'm saying is, you're believeing in a person you don't even know exist. Until hard facts come out that a higher power does in fact exist, I'll still be under the impression that: "I don't know what to think". This goes for everything, evolution, multiple theories about how the Earth came to be, etc. Because I don't know, how I can be sure these things actually exist/happened at one point or another.

I'm an Apathetic Agnostic which basically has the view that there is no proof of either the existence or nonexistence of God(s). That goes for everyone I believe in, not just the God. There is more, but it's not that relevant to my claim at hand.

Basically: there is no proof of anything's actuality or inactuality (I hope inactuallity is a word, if not I hope you know what I mean) then I assume that it is not real. Not real in the sense that if nothing has been proven, how can I assume it to be true or untrue? Do you get what I mean?

In this sense, I could also be considered a Weak Agnostic which is someone who has the view that the existence or nonexistence of God(s) is currently unknown but is not necessarily unknowable, therefore one will withhold judgment until/if more evidence is available.

I probably could have lived a perfectly meaningful life without ever having to know what yaoi is.

If WWaIIImart wants to sell it, good for them. As long as it starts a scandal and allows it to lose customers.
