How can Pi be "wrong"? I thought it was just a naturally occuring number, like e. It's not as if Pi is a formula. It's just a number.

The last time that I checked, there is no finite fraction that can represent .9999 repeating so you get 1 which is the closest finite number that exists. anyways... .9999repeating is only 1^-infinity away from 1 anyways. /*edit*/
that is probably enough to prove that it is equal to 1

1/3 = 0.3333...

0.333... * 3 = 0.999...

(1/3) * 3 = 1

0.999... = 1
