crisandwitch Posted March 16, 2007 HELP! I have been trying to make new textures for my WAD (Its vanilla doom format)... I am using XWE to import the texture and they work fine in the maps but whenever I import a single texture into the WAD Doom Builder spits out the following errors to me at startup... WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch DRYWALL3 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch APOLINE WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX44 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX35 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX36 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX34 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX33 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX27 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX26 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX24 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX23 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX22 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX25 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX20 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX19 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX18 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX21 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch SMRAIL2 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch SMRAIL WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch RAIL2 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX14 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX15 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch DRYWALL2 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch DRYWALL1 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX40 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX39 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX38 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX37 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX1 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX2 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX3 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX4 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX17 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX16 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX6 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX7 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX8 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX9 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX10 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX13 WARNING: Could not find the required lump for the patch TEX11 ... (Shortened for ease of reading, your missing nothing inportant but more missing TEX00s) During testing of the map alot of these textures, including the sky are black. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? Oh, and yes I have used 'search' and 'google'. 0 Share this post Link to post
Steeveeo Posted March 16, 2007 AFAIK XWE is hard to switch over to Doom 1 and most of the time creates all the PNAMES for Doom2 instead of Doom1 (BTW, anybody actually know how to switch it over?) 0 Share this post Link to post
crisandwitch Posted March 16, 2007 I guess I forgot to mention that this is a DOOM2 WAD. 0 Share this post Link to post
Steeveeo Posted March 16, 2007 hmm....I dont recognize many of those textures, are they custom? if so I bet you could delete the Patch Names (PNAMES), Texture (TEXTURE1) file, and your custom texture(s), hit the clean up button, then reupload your texture(s) and the PNAMES and TEXTURE1 file will automatically be recreated by XWE. If that doesnt work I dont know WHATS goin on... 0 Share this post Link to post
crisandwitch Posted March 16, 2007 Well... I feel like an idiot now... Upon inspection of the TEXTURE1 lump I found out that for some reason XWE was reading the textures out of "allhell.WAD" as its IWAD, something I got rid of a long while ago. Well thanks for the help to those who answered... and could a moderator lock/ delete this post, and slap me so I don't do this again. 0 Share this post Link to post
