can anyone recomend a good program for making midis in.

also is it possible that anyone can use mp3s as music in doom. if it is and anyone needs to hire a music composer then i have plenty of tracks composed already and im willing to make more.

I use Midisoft LE. It's pretty limited, but it's free.

Some of the source ports do accept MP3s. The two that spring to mind are EDGE and ZDoom.

I use Cakewalk cuz it came with my Midi keyboard but it's pretty crappy if you ask me. Try it anyway tho...just dunnow here or if u can get a demo of it

I found Modplug Tracker recently and it's pretty good. I used it to convert unreal Tourn. music to mp3 but you can make midis, s3m, it, xm and mod music. It has many library and easy to use.

Do you have a link for this program ? (i use Impulse Tracker currently but i'd like to try other stuff)

Just watch what you download , there's the program modplug and modplug tracker, the program modplug is a music player and modplug tracker is a music editor. It's small (592 kb zipped or 1.28 kb unzipped) and it's free.

Uhhh... You cant directly do midis in modplug tracker, but you can make a mod and convert it to midi...
