Tonight's 32in24 is CTF themed! Like all 32in24s this runs for 24 hours, starting midnight EST on this current Sunday. (2 Sep 2007)

Rules:
Use ODAMEX Doombuilder CFG (Works for all ports)
CTF Standard Items (Inside Odamex cfg, refer to example map)
Use Essel's CTF Texture Wad
1 P1 Start, 1 DM Start, CTF Team Starts
NO Exits
Maps must be symmetrical, and use red/blue textures to identify teams
Use team colored textures as highlights, not base textures
No added textures/flats, etc
Midi/mus files are OK
INCLUDE MAP NAMES
Beauty is optional, fun is not
Crappy maps will be cut if we get more than 32 entries

More crappiness from Nuxius coming to a 32in24 near you!

Even more guaranteed crappiness due to the fact that I've never mapped for Odamex or made a CTF map for Doom before!

I'm getting an error when I start up DB with the Odamex config...

"Syntax error on line 1546: The key is already associated with an element of this collection"

No, I have that. I guess maybe it'll be a pain in the ass to switch back and forth, since I can't seem to import both the Doom2 textures and the essel ones at the same time.

If you're using Doom Builder, set doom2.wad as your IWAD for the Odamex gamemode (Tools menu -> Configuration -> Files tab), then open your map and select the 32in24 resource wad under "Additional Textures and Flats from WAD file" in the Map Options dialog.

But i'm not sure if you'll use it because i kinda infringe the rules. :P Rather rule "Use team colored textures as highlights, not base textures" so if you won't use it, nevermind. That's why i should read all rules first heh.


That rule was just to prevent people from doing maps that consisted entirely of bright red and bright blue, which would be really hard on the eyes. Your map is fine :)
