blarg Posted October 4, 2007 How do I run a WhackEd patch using ZDOOM and including my PWAD? thank you for taking your time to answer the obvious that I of course don't know and have so far been unable to find out. 0 Share this post Link to post
blarg Posted October 6, 2007 when do I put this in, once in the level or before starting ZDOOM? 0 Share this post Link to post
John Smith Posted October 6, 2007 I swear ingame consoles are the leading cause of command line retardism today. Neways, it is a parameter you specify before you launch doom. 0 Share this post Link to post

blarg Posted October 21, 2007 I tried this multiple times, but I can't get this to work. Testing my map through Doombuilder (since it's easier for us console-retards), I added to the end of my parameters "-deh wadpatch.bex" which didn't work, then I tried "-deh C:\DOOM EDITING\WADs\wadpatch.bex" which also didn't work. Retardation Station! Woooooo! *Sigh...* 0 Share this post Link to post
DooMAD Posted October 21, 2007 C:\whatever\ZDoom.exe -deh wadpatch.bex Assuming you have zdoom installed in the same directory as the bex file, that should work. 0 Share this post Link to post
blarg Posted October 22, 2007 ajxsdiofjazsodifjyloasidhf!!! I put in C:\ZDoom 2.1.7\ZDoom-2.1.7\Zdoom.exe -deh wadpatch.bex, and it still doesn't work. Could this be that the level is in vanilla DOOM format? Or am I just somehow screwing up again!?!?!? 0 Share this post Link to post
TheDarkArchon Posted October 22, 2007 blarg said:Could this be that the level is in vanilla DOOM format? Or am I just somehow screwing up again!?!?!? The latter. Map format doesn't matter for ZDoom's DeHackEd support. 0 Share this post Link to post
jallamann Posted October 22, 2007 "c:\whatever\zdoom.exe" -deh whatever.bex mind the quotation marks... 0 Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted October 23, 2007 jallamann said:"c:\whatever\zdoom.exe" -deh whatever.bex mind the quotation marks... Yes. They're essential if your path has spaces in it, like in an ZDoom 2.1.7\ directory. Alternatively, you can just CD into that directory and just type: zdoom -deh patch.bex -file map.wad 0 Share this post Link to post
Jodwin Posted October 23, 2007 OR you could just try drag 'n drop the bex patch over the ZDoom exe. 0 Share this post Link to post

myk Posted October 24, 2007 blarg said: Yeah, but then it runs whichever DOOM wad I have set, not my wad Then use the Ctrl key to select multiple files (including your wad and the hack), and then drag them in. 0 Share this post Link to post
