farhaven Posted March 26, 2008 it also looks like it would be a serious strain on the comp I can confirm that on my Intel Pentium 4 (3Ghz) with an ATI Radeon X700 and 512MB of RAM at a resolution of 640x480 GZDoom runnning on a Gentoo Linux kernel version 2.6.23 seriously drops in performance when entering the room with that towers. Before, everything is fine, as is afterwards, but in that room my FPS bareley reaches 10 FPS. Is this different in Legacy? 0 Share this post Link to post
Vermil Posted March 26, 2008 You could actually try it in Legacy yourself. It's hardly difficult to download it... 0 Share this post Link to post
ReFracture Posted March 27, 2008 There is a linux version of legacy. Farheaven, are you actually running a native linux version of GZDoom, or through wine? I never knew graf zahl got gzdoom working under linux. 0 Share this post Link to post
farhaven Posted March 27, 2008 it is a native version, the makefile included in one of the latest svn checkouts worked for me without need for patching. 0 Share this post Link to post
kristus Posted March 27, 2008 The map would run a lot faster if there weren't so many perpetually moving floors for no reason. 0 Share this post Link to post
